Manchester United are back in Carabao Cup action on Wednesday night when they face Nottingham Forest in the first leg of their semi-final.

The Red Devils also have an FA Cup clash with Reading this weekend, before playing the second leg against Forest. Only after all three cup games will they be able to turn their attention back to the Premier League, where they have been performing rather well in recent times, even with the crushing late defeat to Arsenal last time out.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

Zaniolo offer

United are said to have been offered the chance to sign AS Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo this month.

According to Daily Mail, via The Faithful MUFC, both United and PSG have been offered Zaniolo for around £35million, with AC Milan also trying to tie up a deal before the deadline. Roma don’t look likely to keep Zaniolo beyond this window, and that’s despite his importance to the club over recent times.

Whether United are willing to spend that amount is another question, but they could certainly do with midfield depth, and Zaniolo would be a more than useful option given his versatility.

Tielemans still an option

United are said to be keeping an eye on Youri Tielemans’ situation.

The Leicester City star is out of contract in the summer, and he could well be on the move in this window, but no one has pulled the trigger quite yet. According to Fabrizio Romano, United are ‘keeping an eye’ to see whether there may be an opportunity to sign the Belgian on the cheap at the end of the window.

“They’re keeping an eye on the market.” Romano told Give Me Sport “I think it is normal if there is something interesting that could attract the manager.”
