Man Utd star 'destined' for exit as he makes ‘constant ambition’ and ‘more excitement’ claim

Manchester United have expressed a desire to part ways with Marcus Rashford in the summer and have already made the decision to offload the 27-year-old even if Ruben Amorim is no longer manager.
60-time England international Rashford recently joined Premier League rivals Aston Villa on a loan deal until the end of the season in a move which includes a £40m option for Unai Emery’s side to purchase the player on a permanent basis if he impresses in the West Midlands.

Marcus Rashford, who is pushing to make his Aston Villa debut against Tottenham in the FA Cup fourth round, has not played a competitive match since 12 December after a heated feud with Amorim which resulted in the academy graduate being frozen out of the first team squad for more than a month.
Rashford was initially dropped from the team for the Manchester City game in mid-December, with Amorim citing the player’s commitment in training as the reason for the omission.
In the build-up to that game, Rashford openly expressed his desire to leave his boyhood club for pastures new in an interview with Henry Winter, where he said: "If I know that a situation is already bad I'm not going to make it worse. I've seen how other players have left in the past and I don't want to be that person. "When I leave I'll make a statement and it will be from me.
"When I leave it's going to be 'no hard feelings'. You're not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That's me as a person.

Rashford, who has scored 138 goals in 426 appearances, was heavily criticized for his form in the final 18 months of Erik ten Hag’s reign in charge, and struggled to get anywhere near the impressive 30 goals he registered during the 2022/23 season across all competitions.
Amorim’s appointment had been seen as a fresh start for the Mancunian, but relationships quickly soured between the pair.
In a scathing remark, Amorim told reporters: “It’s the same, it’s always the same reason. The reason is the training, the way I see what footballers should do in training, in life, it’s every day, every detail. So if things don’t change, I will not change. It’s the same situation for every player. If you do the maximum, if you do the right things, we can use every player.

What Marcus Rashford has said about joining Aston Villa
Marcus Rashford, who will wear No 9 for his new side, said the Villa manager, Unai Emery, was a key factor in attracting him to the club. “He’s a top manager and what he’s done for the club since coming in is unbelievable,” he told Villa TV.
“It’s their constant ambition which is attractive and why you want to join such a club. You want to keep improving year on year and that’s what the team’s been doing.
“They are still in the Champions League and we want to go as far as we can in that and if you don’t aim to win it you’ll never win it, so that will be my main objective and keep pushing in the league to get as high as possible. This is my first time playing for any other team so you don’t know what to expect but it’s been more excitement, not scared of going into a new environment.”

Guardian Sport understands Marcus Rashford has very little chance of representing his boyhood club again. They report that while there is a slim possibility that the 27-year-old, who is under contract until 2028, could play in pre-season if he fails to impress in a Villa shirt, has no chance of being used competitively by the club.
The report states that the relationship between Rashford and the hierarchy is irreparable after the month long transfer saga.
Elsewhere, United still have the chance to search for reinforcements and could still delve into the free agent market.
