Man City are hoping to sell Jack Grealish this summer, and Manchester United want to sell Alejandro Garnacho.

The future of Jack Grealish will become one of the biggest talking points in the Premier League this summer, as Man City aim to sell the winger, who they paid £100m for in 2021.

The England international has been linked with several Premier League teams, including Tottenham, Everton, and even a return to Aston Villa. However, Napoli in the Serie A has also emerged as a potential destination for the 29-year-old.

However, Manchester United also want to sell Alejandro Garnacho, and the 20-year-old is also wanted by Napoli, meaning that the Italian giants need to pick between the two as to who they want to sign this summer.

Napoli makes a Garnacho/Grealish decision

Manchester City have set a price of around £40m-£50m for Grealish this summer, despite the fact that they paid £100m for him four years ago. The winger made just 20 Premier League appearances last season after falling out of favour with Pep Guardiola.

So, it is convenient that it has been reported that Napoli have a budget of around £45m to spend on a winger this summer. According to the Sun, the Italian giants want to sign Grealish, and Man City are willing to sell him for £45m.

Furthermore, the report says that Napoli would rather sign Grealish over Garnacho, as they want to bring him to Italy to pair up with Kevin De Bruyne, who recently joined them from Manchester City.

However, the report does say that Napoli does accept that Garnacho would be a better choice for the future, seeing as he is nine years younger than Grealish. However, Man United are reportedly placing a £70m price tag on the Argentine winger.

Last season, Garnacho had a solid season for United, making 36 Premier League appearances, with six goals and two assists. He was one of the more exciting attackers in Ruben Amorim’s side last season, but after falling out of favour, he is due to leave this summer.

It is understood that Chelsea is also considering a move for Garnacho. They would be more likely to go after him if they fail to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens, who they have already seen bids rejected for this summer.

Man United hoping to replace Alejandro Garnacho

The Red Devils are set on selling Garnacho this summer, and so will need to find a replacement for him, especially because they are also looking to sell Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony this window.

Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo is United’s main winger target this summer, however, they are competing with Tottenham Hotspur for the Cameroon international. New Spurs boss Thomas Frank is hoping to convince the winger to move to North London, despite previous reports saying that Mbeumo was set on a move to Old Trafford.

If the Red Devils lose out on Mbeumo, they will have to look at other targets. In a surprise move, United have been linked to signing Grealish, despite the fact that he would be crossing the City from sky blue to red.
