All the latest Manchester United transfer news and rumours as Erik ten Hag continues to build and prepare his squad for the new season.

Manchester United are now putting the final touches on their preparations for Saturday’s mouth-watering friendly with Arsenal.

Erik ten Hag’s men beat Lyon earlier this week, but they have since hopped across the pond to continue preparations for the new season with a clash with Arsenal in New Jersey. While the result won’t matter all that much, Ten Hag will want to see how his men measure up against an Arsenal side who are being backed to compete for the title this season.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old trafford.

Hojlund update

United are said to have made a ‘verbal offer’ to sign Atalanta star Rasmus Hojlund.

Fabrizio Romano has said: “Understand Man United will send the opening official proposal to Atalanta for Ramsus Højlund soon. The Red Devils want to ensure that PSG don’t hijack the deal. Højlund agreed terms with United, as revealed days ago.”

“There are strong players who are struggling to find their place and other young people who reach certain figures, Højlund is among the very first in Europe among emerging players”

Meanwhile, Calciomercato have added that United have made a ‘verbal offer’ to Atalanta.

Elanga ‘rejects’ move

United winger Anthony Elanga has reportedly rejected a move to another Premier League club.

According to The Daily Mail, Elanga has rejected a loan offer from Everton, feeling he would not suit Sean Dyche’s tactics. It’s claimed Elanga has already chosen his next club, but a move has not materialised just yet, with Elanga part of United’s pre-season preparations in the USA.

Elanga is not likely to get regular first-team opportunities this season, and a loan deal seems inevitable as Ten Hag looks to trim his squad ahead of the new season. Now United just have to strike a deal for the 21-year-old.
