All the latest Manchester United transfer news and rumours as Erik ten Hag’s men prepare for the new season.

Manchester United are now within a week of their first Premier League fixture of the season.

Erik ten Hag’s men are now all done with their friendlies for another year, and focus now turns to that league opener with Wolves next Monday night. Though, United will continue to work on transfer business behind the scenes, and much of the focus will now be on outgoings after significant spending over the summer, with exits likely required if the Red Devils are to spend more.

With all that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford

Fire sale

Ten Hag has reportedly put as many as seven players up for sale after the club’s final pre-season friendly.

The Mirror claim that, in a last-ditch attempt to stage a clearout, Ten Hag has reportedly put Dean Henderson, Eric Bailly, Fred, Donny van de Beek, Scott McTominay and Harry Maguire up for sale. There is already interest in a number of those players, and United could do with the cash as they look to snap up a new holding midfielder ahead of the deadline.

Though, there is plenty of work to do to actually get those players out the door, given some of they will be pricey for other clubs.

Van de Beek talks

One of those players could already be on his way out, with Real Sociedad reportedly in talks over a deal to sign Van de Beek.

As detailed by the BBC, Real Sociedad are eyeing van de Beek ahead of their Champions League campaign, with talks ongoing over a permanent deal. United paid as much as £35million for the Dutchman, but having failed to impress, van de Beek is not going to command a price tag that high this summer.

It’s likely United will have to take a hit, but they will still want to make £20million or more on the midfielder, who may yet develop beyond his current level.
