In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news surrounding Old Trafford.

De Gea plan

United are said to be interested in Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier as a long-term replacement for David De Gea.

According to The Sun, the Red Devils are still hoping to agree a new contract with De Gea ahead of his deal expiring at the end of the season. It’s claimed United are willing to pay De Gea around £250,000-per-week, which is £100,000-per-week less than he earns currently.

Though, even if they are successful in striking a deal, it seems it won’t stop United searching for a long-term successor, and Leeds star Meslier is said to be at the top of the list having impressed at Premier League level, along with the France under-21s.

Elsewhere, United are said to be in with a good chance of landing reported target Denzel Dumfries.

According to Tuttosport, relayed by L’Interista, the Red Devils are in the ‘front row’ when it comes to the possible signing of the full-back, who was heavily linked with the club in the run up to the January transfer window. Aaron Wan-Bissaka has impressed at right-back over recent times, but Ten Hag may want more strength in the long-term.

Though, it’s claimed Inter Milan want to make at least £50million if they are to sell Dumfries.
