Manchester United enjoyed another fine weekend after seeing off Crystal Palace.

The Red Devils moved into third place with the win and made up ground on leaders Arsenal and second placed Manchester City, who both lost. Erik ten Hag’s men are now within eight points off the leaders, though they have played a game more. Fortunately, Arsenal and Manchester City play each other this week, and that game will provide another boost. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

Dalot plan

United are said to be working on a long-term contract for full back Diogo Dalot. Dalot has been eyed by a number of sides around Europe in recent times, including La Liga giants Barcelona, who are in the market for a right-back. According to Mundo Deportivo, Dalot is now in line for a new long-term contract, despite the fact Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been the go-to player at right-back in recent times.

Dalot’s current contract expires in 2024, and a new deal would put him out of reach for other clubs ahead of the summer.

Pellistri decision

United are said to have blocked a loan exit for Facundo Pellistri late in the transfer window.

According to Football Insider, Watford wanted to strike a deal for Pellistri as they look to secure a return to the Premier League, but they were left disappointed. The report claims Ten Hag stepped in to shut the move down late in the window, deciding Pellistri has a part to play between now and the end of the season.

United have been short of options up top this term, so at the very least, the Uruguayan will provide useful cover as games start to pile up thick and fast for the Red Devils.
