Manchester United have revealed they will provide limited-edition gifts for fans in attendance at Wembley for Saturday’s FA Cup final against Manchester City.

United issued scarves for supporters at the national stadium in February when the Red Devils beat Newcastle United 2-0 in the Carabao Cup final, and the club have replicated the gesture ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final.

“Manchester United fans attending the Emirates FA Cup final against Manchester City at Wembley Stadium on Saturday will each be gifted a limited-edition bucket hat and hand waver flag,” United said on their website.

“The aim is to create a red-and-white wall of support to back United in the pursuit of a second trophy this season. The flags, made from recycled plastic bottles, will bring a vibrancy to the United end as we aim for a 13th FA Cup success in the club’s 21st appearance in the final. After the game, any flags not taken as souvenirs will be recycled,” they added.

Fans will find the gifts on their seats ahead of the game, and given this is the first-ever all-Manchester FA Cup final, the hat and flag will be cherished memorabilia for supporters.

United have won the FA Cup on 12 occasions, double the number of their near neighbours. But the Red Devils have only picked up the trophy once in the last 19 years. Their last triumph came in 2016 when Jesse Lingard scored an extra-time winner against Crystal Palace. City last won the FA Cup in 2019, Pep Guardiola’s only triumph to date in the competition.
