Manchester United are believed to be plotting a stunning move for highly-rated Spanish international Dani Olmo in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils have failed to score in their last three outings and are in desperate need of further flair and creativity if they are able to climb the Premier League table.

"I'm happy to be back home.” Olmo said after leaving Germany to return to the club where had played for seven years at academy level.
Olmo hit the ground running with five goals in his first five appearances for the Catalan giants before adding a sixth against Stade Brest in the Champions League.
The playmaker has been a big part of Hansi Flick’s title- chasing side since arriving in the summer, but could find himself without a club this month due to a registration issue.

Guardian Sport explains that Barcelona did not take La Liga’s wage cap into consideration when signing Olmo over the summer.
The report adds that the Spanish side were only able to register the player on a temporary basis alongside Pau Victor, with both players' deals expiring on 31 December 2024. Article 77 of La Liga rules allows clubs to temporarily use up to 80% of a player’s salary on an alternative in the event of injury, which was a clause Barcelona were able to take advantage of in the first half of the season.
However, Barcelona recently lost a second appeal to register Olmo for the remainder of the season on Monday, with the club still unable to meet La Liga’s wage cap.
“Barcelona informs that it has applied for a new licence for the players Daniel Olmo and Pau Victor to the Rfef,” the Catalan club said in a statement. The club would like to deny having requested or receiving any moratorium to any governing body for these inscriptions.”

The Red Devils are said to be actively monitoring Olmo’s situation alongside rivals Manchester City, who are also in desperate need of reinforcements after a disastrous run of form.
Olmo is believed to be keen to remain at Barcelona after his strong start but is understood to be growing extremely frustrated with the situation.
