All the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Manchester United as the new season closes in.

Manchester United are now closing in on their first Premier League game of the season, with pre-season over and done with.

Erik ten Hag’s men will be putting the final touches on their preparations for the new campaign this week after snapping up a number of new players this summer, including Andre Onana, Mason Mount and Rasmus Hojlund. The Red Devils are fortunate enough to have a few extra days to prepare for their first game, with the clash with Wolves taking place on Monday night.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

Pellistri exit links

Facundo Pellistri is being linked with a move away from Old Trafford despite excitement around his future.

According to Quotidiano Nazionale, Bologna want to sign the Uruguayan on loan with the option of completing a full purchase. FC Twente have also been linked with a straight loan deal, and some sort of departure is likely due to the level of competition at Old Trafford this coming season.

But if an option to buy is agreed, it is likely to upset United fans, given many are excited about Pellistri’s future on the back of impressive first-team appearances.

Fred interest

Elsewhere, Untited midfielder Fred is attracting interest from a Premier League rival.

Fred is likely to depart Old Trafford in the coming weeks, given he is no longer one of Erik ten Hag’s first-choice midfielders, but interest has been few and far between. According to the BBC’s Simon Stone, though, Fulham are interested in pulling off a deal.

The report read: “Meanwhile, Fulham remain interested in Brazil midfielder Fred, but a firm offer is yet to materialise.” Fred’s wages could be an issue for Fulham, but it’s likely the Brazilian will have to take a wage cut wherever he goes.
