Though, in general, Erik ten Hag’s men have been on an upward trajectory of late, and they will be desperate to get back to Premier League action.

But that will not be this weekend due to a second postponement, and United will now have to wait until after the international break to resume their league efforts.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford:

Van de Beek talk

Inter Milan are being linked with a move for United star Donny van de Beek ahead of the January window.

Van de Beek has struggled to fit in at United, failing to reach his best level so far, while also spending time out on loan last season.

Under Ten Hag, it’s hoped that will change, but competition is rife, and van de Beek may well have to depart to kick-start his career again.

According to Fichajes, Inter are interested in a deal as they look for a cheaper alternative to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

Tielemans links

United are being linked with a move for Leicester City star Youri Tielemans.

The Belgian is likely to be a sought after talent in the winter, potentially available for a cut-price deal.

Tielemans is out of contract in the summer, and Leicester face losing him for nothing if they don’t sell in the January window.

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Tielemans, but according to Fichajes, United could be interested after missing out on Frenkie de Jong in the summer.
