Breaking: Five players inform Manchester United they want to leave this summer
Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia have all told Manchester United they want to leave the club this summer, and they will be allowed to report for pre-season duty later to finalise moves.
The first group of United's players are due back at Carrington next week for pre-season testing, but those who have informed the club they want to explore opportunities elsewhere will not be required to report to the club's training base.

Hide AdUnited sources insist they respect and understand the decision of the players and have delayed their required return date until later in July to allow them time to explore possible transfers. The club insists their medical and rehabilitation facilities will remain available to the players should any wish to come in and use them, and remote support will continue as always. If their players are not resolved during the extended break, they will all be welcomed back to Carrington ahead of the new season.
Manchester United have confirmed they will not stand in the way of the players who wish to leave the club in the summer transfer window and will allow them an extended break to facilitate potential transfer exits.
The news comes just hours after Ruben Amorim and his coaching staff returned to Carrington ahead of the pre-season training tests early next week. United don't want any unnecessary distractions as they look to get back on track under the Portuguese head coach next season.
It is unclear what the development means for Marcus Rashford after it was revealed he was expected to return to United for pre-season training next week. The 27-year-old has not played for United since December last year after he was dropped for the Manchester derby win over Man City due to performance issues. The forward later revealed he was open to a 'new challenge' in his professional career before he joined Aston Villa on loan, which also included the option to make it permanent for £40m.

Hide AdUnited's preference is still to move the player on this summer, though it is understood Rashford has no issues taking part in the club's pre-season schedule and will give his best while he is still contracted to the club.
