Man Utd 'big' admirers of £70million-rated ace with veteran made available
Latest Manchester United transfer news and rumours as they prepare for the next Premier League season
Manchester United won the FA Cup for the 13th time in their history last weekend after beating rivals Manchester City 2-1 at Wembley. Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo got their goals in London.

Erik ten Hag’s side finished 8th in the Premier League table in this past season. Here is a look at some of the latest transfer news and rumours coming out of the club...
Defender latest
United are ‘big admirers’ of Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite ahead of the upcoming transfer window, according to Sky Sports. The report suggests that signing him is seen as a ‘priority’ this summer by the Red Devils with the player valued in the region of £60-£70million.
Branthwaite, who is 21-years-old, is being tipped for a bright future in the game and has become one of the Toffees’ most prized assets over recent times. They snapped him up as a youngster back in 2020 after he caught the eye playing for his local side Carlisle United in League Two.
He has since made 54 appearances for Everton in all competitions to date, chipping in with four goals from the back. The centre-back has also had loan spells away from Goodison Park at Blackburn Rovers and PSV in the past to get some experience under his belt.
United could see him as someone to bolster their defensive department ahead of next term as they look to compete at the top end of the table once again after their disappointing past campaign.
Midfielder update
United are ‘open’ to selling Casemiro amid ‘interest’ from some unnamed Saudi Arabian teams. The Brazil international’s future at Old Trafford is up in the air right now. He moved over to England in 2022 from Real Madrid and has since played 83 matches altogether, finding the net on 12 occasions.
The midfielder still has two years left on his contract, with the club holding an option of a further 12 months on top of that meaning they are under no pressure to cash in on him.
However, in this latest update regarding his situation by journalist Fabrizio Romano in his CaughtOffside column, he has said: “I wanted to clarify some reports on Manchester United. We know there will be some players leaving the club this summer, with Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial already confirming that they will leave on free transfers, but there will be some players sold as well.
“My information remains that Manchester United are open to selling Casemiro in the summer. This remains clear, and although there have been reports of United wanting around €35m for the midfielder, I’m told the price tag will be decided soon.”
He added: “In any case, Casemiro could leave United in the summer transfer window, as there is interest from Saudi, though no formal proposals yet.”
Letting Casemiro head out the exit door would free up space and funds in United’s squad to bring in younger options. His experience is quite useful to have in and around the dressing room though.
