Manchester United have suffered three fresh injuries in the last week.

Manchester United have confirmed the extent of the injuries suffered to Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund.

The Danish duo were both forced to pull out of the international squad for the upcoming international fixtures against Slovenia and Northern Ireland over the coming week, due to issues they picked up in Saturday’s win over Luton Town.

Eriksen slipped awkwardly in the latter stages of the first half and, after soldiering on for five minutes, was replaced just before the break. As for Hojlund, he twice went down clutching the back of his leg before he was withdrawn in the 79th minute.

Erik ten Hag said in the wake of the game that he was unsure of the severity of the problems, but on it was revealed both players will miss the club’s next match against Everton. United later mae a statement confirming how long the pair will be missing for.

“Christian has a knee injury that is set to keep him out for around a month, while striker Rasmus suffered a muscle strain. It is hoped he will return before the end of November,” the club said, via their website.

With Eriksen out, it could provide the opportunity for Sofyan Amrabat, Mason Mount or even Kobbie Mainoo to start at Goodison Park next week, while Hojlund’s absence might see Anthony Martial handed a rare start, or Marcus Rashford could operate centrally.

The injuries also add to the plethora of absentees at Old Trafford. Lisandro Martinez and Casemiro won't be back before Christmas, Ten Hag confirmed last week, although Tyrell Malacia and Amad are working their way back from long-term problems and are training once again.

There’s a hope Luke Shaw could be back in December, with the defender missing since October. Jonny Evans also missed the Luton match and is set to spend around four weeks on the sidelines. That’s eight injured players at present for United, while Jadon Sancho is still unavailable as he continues to train with the junior team.
