All the latest Manchester United transfer news and rumours as the Red Devils prepare to return for pre-season.

Manchester United’s stars are just days away from returning to base for pre-season training. The non-international Red Devils will be back to start pre-season training next week, while the internationals will link up with the squad a week later.

Erik ten Hag will be keen to get his men in optimum shape ahead of what should be a big season for the club, back in the Champions League and - they will hope - in Premier League contention. In the meantime, the club will be scouring the market for new signings, and here we round up all the latest news surrounding possible incomings.

Onana chase

United may well need a new number one this summer amid reports they have withdrawn their contract offer to David De Gea. According to La Repubblica, United have already decided on the Spaniard’s replacement, keen to sign Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, who has been one of the stand-out goalkeepers in Europe over the last couple of seasons.

It’s claimed Inter want around £54million for Onana this summer, and United may be willing to pay as they prepare to potentially lose De Gea and Dean Henderson. The report claims United have already agreed personal terms with Onana ahead of a possible move.

Ramos interest

United are said to be interested in signing Benfica forward Goncalo Ramos this summer. The Red Devils need a striker after deciding to wait to replace Cristiano Ronaldo, and they have already been priced out of moves for Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen. Ramos would also be an expensive signing this summer, but he would come in cheaper at around £70million.

According to A Bola, Benfica believe Man Utd will pay the £69million or so the Portuguese club are demanding for their striker this summer. It will be interesting to see if United do pull the trigger amid reduced options in their striker search.
