'Perfect' - Man United urged to make huge £30m transfer call amid growing pressure

Man United are set for a big summer transfer window, and could see several big-name players leave the club. The likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Antony are among them with their loan deals due to expire in June.
Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo have also been touted to leave in order to generate ‘pure profit’. Then there is the underlying question mark with goalkeeper Andre Onana, who has struggled with mistakes at Old Trafford this season.

Man United urged to sell Onana for £30m
The Cameroon international made two crucial mistakes during United and Lyon’s Europa League quarter-final first leg two weeks ago, which forced Ruben Amorim to drop the keeper for their next game in the Premier League.
Since then, reports have been saying that United want to sell Onana this summer, but no destination has yet emerged. However, clubs in the Saudi Pro League are said to be interested in the 29-year-old, which could hand Man United a ‘get out’.
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson has said that United should sell Onana for a fee of £30m to Saudi clubs this summer. He told Football Insider: “He’s got a book value of about £ 30 million all in right now as of the end of the season.

The bigger issue is they’ve got to find a new goalkeeper, which is really difficult and really expensive now these days, and quite a few teams are looking.”
Who could United replace Onana with this summer?
Assuming that the 29-year-old is set to leave the club in the summer transfer window, United will need to find a replacement, considering that Altay Bayindir is unlikely to cut it being the first-choice. One name that has been linked is Brighton’s Bart Verbruggen, who has kept six clean sheets for the Seagulls this season. He has also emerged as the first-choice stopper for the Netherlands’ national team.
Furthermore, Southampton keeper Aaron Ramsdale is likely to be available for a cut-price after the Saints’ relegation to the Championship. He has more experience playing at a top club following his spell as the first-choice keeper at Arsenal. Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa has also emerged as a potential target for United, according to recent reports. However, he has a £64m release clause in his contract, which could prove too steep for the Red Devils.
