The Reds were fitter and fresher than Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final victory, but Manchester United will be hoping that’s not the case when they travel to Anfield on Tuesday, for their Premier League meeting.
It’s a crucial game in the title race, with Liverpool able to move above City with a win, while United could also move level on points with fourth-place Tottenham Hotspur should they come away with an unlikely victory.
Ralf Rangnick must feel slightly envious of Klopp’s clean bill of health, given Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay, Fred and Edinson Cavani are all injured.
Meanwhile, United confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will not play following the tragic death of his baby son on Monday night.
For Liverpool, they are likely to make a number of alterations for the clash at Anfield, which kicks off at 8pm.
Ahead of the game, we asked Liverpool reporter Will Rooney, who writes for our sister title, LiverpoolWorld, to cast his eye over the Reds’ squad and predict how they’ll line up on Tuesday.
Unsurprisingly, Will predicts that Klopp will make wholesale changes from the win over City, and feels Liverpool will make five alterations from the trip to Wembley.
He also is expecting Andrew Robertson and Thiago to be rested for the game, as well as Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.

A slight surprise he did not feature at Wembley. Likely to come back in for Ibrahima Konate.
4. Virgil van Dijk
The Dutchman has been the bedrock in Liverpool’s pursuit of a quadruple.
