Thomas Tuchel is the new frontrunner to take over at Manchester United should they decide to part ways with Erik ten Hag at the end of the season.
Ten Hag is under increasing pressure at Old Trafford, with United eighth in the Premier League and unlikely to qualify for Europe unless they improbably defeat Man City in the FA Cup final.
United sources insist the Ineos Group are yet to make a decision on the managerial situation, but the feeling is that Ten Hag is now increasingly likely to lose his job based on the manner of the club's recent performances.
Tuchel will be out of a job himself at the end of the campaign, with Bayern Munich deciding to part ways with the German manager after their own trophyless season, and he is the most compelling candidate to takeover at Old Trafford if the managerial vacancy appears.
It has led to a lot of speculation about how the United side could look next season and if Tuchel were to take charge, then we could expect to see his influence on the squad straight away.
While this line up is all hypothetical and would rely on selling a lot of players too, it is certainly one that would have a lot of supporters on side...

9. RW - Michael Olise
United know all too well what a talent Olise is and he would be a dream addition to their forward line this summer. He is the type of player with enormous potential they should be targeting. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

10. LW - Alejandro Garnacho
The Argentine is another starlet any prospective manager would be expected to build the team around. United need to manage his minutes more carefully but he is good enough to be starting every week. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

11. ST - Rasmus Hojlund
Tuchel has worked closely with Harry Kane this season and should be able to sculpt Hojlund into a better forward. He has all the raw attributes to become one of the best in the world. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
