The 25-year-old has been the Red Devils’ primary target in the market, with Erik ten Hag keen for a reunion with his former midfield general.

TalkSPORT agree with those claims in the Times, however journalist Gerard Romero says De Jong will cost around £73m plus add-ons, while the Daily Mail report the fee is closer to £55m, potentially rising to £68m.
Negotiations on personal terms have not started yet between De Jong and United, but this is not expected to be a stumbling block, as per the Telegraph.
