Erik ten Hag is preparing as normal for Manchester United's clash against Brentford next week despite intense speculation surrounding his future.
United's poor start to the new Premier League season as well as Ten Hag's position were both believed to have been discussed at the latest monthly executive committee in London this week, with no decision communicated by the club.
United would only normally release a statement on the meeting if an extraordinary outcome was made, such as the sacking of a manager, and would be unlikely to comment on the managerial situation when nothing has actually changed.
It means Ten Hag could continue in his role after the international break and will have a fresh run of fixtures to prove himself and get the season back on track. In order to do so, the Dutchman might need to make some unpopular decisions and drop some of his favourite players as he searches for the consistency United have been lacking so far this campaign.
Here is the line up we think Ten Hag should use to help get his season back on track:

9. RW/CAM - Mason Mount

10. LW/CAM - Alejandro Garnacho
Garnacho has been better from the bench but is the club's most consistent forward and has to start when possible. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

11. ST - Rasmus Hojlund
United have sorely missed Hojlund in the opening weeks of the campaign and it is essential they get him back up to speed. | Manchester United via Getty Images Photo: Manchester United via Getty Images

12. ST/LW/CAM - Marcus Rashford
Rashford is still United's most talented forward and could feature as a striker in a 4-2-2 or drift out wide if they adopt a 4-2-3-1. He could also play just behind Hojlund if required. | Getty Images Photo: Getty Images
