Erik ten Hag is preparing as normal for Manchester United's clash against Brentford next week despite intense speculation surrounding his future.
United's poor start to the new Premier League season as well as Ten Hag's position were both believed to have been discussed at the latest monthly executive committee in London this week, with no decision communicated by the club.
United would only normally release a statement on the meeting if an extraordinary outcome was made, such as the sacking of a manager, and would be unlikely to comment on the managerial situation when nothing has actually changed.
It means Ten Hag could continue in his role after the international break and will have a fresh run of fixtures to prove himself and get the season back on track. In order to do so, the Dutchman might need to make some unpopular decisions and drop some of his favourite players as he searches for the consistency United have been lacking so far this campaign.
Here is the line up we think Ten Hag should use to help get his season back on track:

6. LB - Diogo Dalot
Dalot impressed against Aston Villa and is the best choice at left-back until Luke Shaw is fit again. | Manchester United via Getty Images Photo: Manchester United via Getty Images

7. CM - Kobbie Mainoo
Mainoo is still United's most complete midfielder and has formed an encouraging partnership with Christian Eriksen. | Manchester United via Getty Images Photo: Manchester United via Getty Images

8. CM - Christian Eriksen
Eriksen has started two of United's three wins this season and deserves to be playing ahead of Manuel Ugarte and Casemiro. | Manchester United via Getty Images Photo: Manchester United via Getty Images
