'Here we go' - Fabrizio Romano confirms Manchester United star given 'green light' to travel to new club today

Man Utd are set to complete another transfer deal in the January transfer window.

Manchester United forward Antony will travel to Spain on Friday night ahead of his loan move to Real Betis.

The 24-year-old has been permitted to join the La Liga club for the remainder of the season as United look to raise funds for a new wing-back this month. It is understood his loan deal does not include the option to become permanent at the end and that United will contribute towards his wages.

United will prioritise a full sale for Antony at the end of the season and hope his loan switch to Betis will help raise interest in his signature after an underwhelming spell at Old Trafford.

Taking to social media on Friday, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano issued an update on the deal: "Here we go confirmed: Antony travels to Sevilla tonight in order to join Real Betis from Man United! Green light after documents approved, loan move until June with NO buy back clause; salary shared. Man United remain in active talks with Lecce for Patrick Dorgu."

United are in talks to sign Lecce defender Dorgu this month and will also allow fellow defender Tyrell Malacia to leave the club to finance the deal. Ruben Amorim has also prioritised the addition of a forward during the winter window and they could sell Alejandro Garnacho to fund a move.

Manchester World revealed earlier today that Southampton starlet Tyler Dibling is a target for the attacking role and could be considered if they sell Garnacho. Chelsea are expected to test United's resolve with a bid for the Argentine forward in the coming days.
