Manchester United have brought in six players this window and allowed 26 to depart permanently or on loan.

It’s been a hectic summer transfer market for Manchester United, one that culminated in a busy final day of the window.

While there were no major surprises on deadline day, the arrivals of Antony and Martin Dubravka were secured, while James Garner’s move to Everton was also wrapped up in the final hour or the window.

So too, was the departure of Tahith Chong, who joined Birmingham City on a permanent deal, while Ethan Galbraith and Will Fish completed loan moves to Salford City and Hibernian.

It brings United’s summer business up to 32 transfers including first-team and Under-23 players, as Erik ten Hag begins to shape this United squad to his liking.

Despite that, the two biggest transfer stories surrounding the club this window have involved deals which didn’t happen.

Despite a prolonged pursuit, Frenkie de Jong did not end up swapping the Nou Camp for Old Trafford, and he will remain at Barcelona until January at least.
