Erik ten Hag has revealed Luke Shaw and Fred are doubts for Wednesday’s FA Cup clash against West Ham United.
The Manchester United duo both started at the weekend as the Red Devils won the Carabao Cup thanks to a 2-0 victory over Newcastle United, with Casemiro and Marcus Rashford on the scoresheet at Wembley.

Luke Shaw and Fred are questions for tomorrow,” Ten Hag said in his pre-match press conference.
The absence of two key players could afford opportunities for others such as Tyrell Malacia and Marcel Sabitzer, and Ten Hag said ahead of the game against West Ham, one he’s expected to rotate his team in, that it’s hugely important to have a deep squad as United compete on three fronts.
“We didn’t win with 11 players [on Sunday], we won with a squad,” said the United boss. “The squad is so important and every time players coming in, if it’s for a whole game or a few minutes or a couple of games, I think during games, they can change the dynamic.
“We have many more than 11 players. I count on them and I know they will be ready. Every time when the players play their games they take responsibility, but also you have to fight for your position. We have great months ahead of us, and great games. Everyone wants to play games.

We did it collectively, not as individuals, or one, two, three players did this. It was a performance of the whole squad.”
