Erik ten Hag's side kickstart the new top-flight campaign at Old Trafford and will be looking to build upon the positive showing from their Community Shield clash with Man City over the weekend.

United have agreed a deal with Bayern Munich for the transfers of Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui and the duo could both be included in the matchday squad as long as their medicals are completed without a hitch. It is understood the pair are both set to undergo their medicals on Monday ahead of their respective proposed transfers.

It is also set to be a big day in terms of departures with Aaron Wan-Bissaka poised to undergo his own medical ahead of a proposed move to West Ham United.

They might not be the only transfers we see completed this week though, with United still eager to add a midfielder to their squad before deadline day. A move for Manuel Ugarte is currently on hold unless Paris Saint-Germain lower their asking price, while United are also weighing up a move for Burnley star Sander Berge.

In order to finance these moves, United could do with selling some more players as well and would be open to selling both Scott McTominay and Hannibal Mejbri if it allows them to balance the books and reinvest elsewhere. They are also prepared to sell forwards Facundo Pellistri and Jadon Sancho this week, though nothing is close regarding either of the players at this moment in time.
