Marcus Rashford’s brilliant start to the season has led to him attracting interest across Europe.

According to Calciomercato, the Blues are considering a move for the Manchester United striker as he nears the end of his contract.

The 24-year-old has struggled for form at United in recent seasons and was heavily linked with a move away earlier this year, however he has kicked off the current campaign with five goal contributions in six matches and looks to be one of their most important players under Erik ten Hag.

Rashford’s current contract is set to expire next summer with a one-year option, however talks with the club have so far stalled - leading to interest in the forward.

Paris Saint-Germain were rumoured to be interested in Rashford last season and it had been reported that the player was also keen on a move to France, however he has since remained at Old Trafford.

While Rashford looked likely to leave the club only a few months ago, his current fomr has led to Ten Hag underlining his commitment to keeping him in Manchester.

“He’s really important,” the Dutchman said.

“You have seen from the first day I’m here, I’m really happy with him, I don’t want to lose him.

“He’s definitely in our plans at Manchester United.”

The Sun have also reported that United will offer Rashford a new five-year deal this season, however if they are unable to reach an agreement then Chelsea will be waiting in the wings.

The London club have already bolstered their attack with Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer, however it looks like they will continue to splash the cash following Potter’s arrival.
