Man Utd captain Bruno Fernandes has sent a message to supporters ahead of the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

Bruno Fernandes insists he 'doesn't want to leave' Manchester United amid recent speculation surrounding his future at the club.

The Portuguese midfielder has been linked with a move away in the summer transfer window after a disappointing season that saw the club record their lowest ever finish in the Premier League era.

ManchesterWorld revealed last week Fernandes would be interested in signing a new long-term deal at Old Trafford to put him on similar terms to Marcus Rashford, though United are reluctant to offer the club captain a new lucrative deal as Ineos move to try and reduce overall spending on salaries and limit player power.

Now, the United captain has addressed the transfer speculation in an emotional letter to fans ahead of their FA Cup final clash with Man City at Wembley.

"After this difficult season, it is my responsibility to give more," he told The Players' Tribune. "It starts with me. And it starts tomorrow. We have to give everything in this last match against City, and we have to move forward.

"I love to step out at Old Trafford more than anything in the world. I don’t want to leave. This has always been my ultimate dream.

"I just want my expectations to fit with the expectations of the club. If you go talk to any fan, they will tell you the same thing. We want to compete for the league. We want to be playing Champions League football. We want to be in cup finals. That is the standard. That is what I want. That is what you all deserve."
