The Man Utd confirmed starting line up and team news against Brighton in the Premier League.

Manchester United have made three changes to their starting line up to face Brighton in the Premier League.

United will hope to build upon their chaotic comeback win over Southampton in midweek and will be well aware a huge improvement is required after what was an overall poor performance.

Ruben Amorim has opted to make a few changes to his side, with Diogo Dalot recalled for Alejandro Garnacho after he missed the Southampton victory due to suspension. Harry Maguire returns in defence in place of Lisandro Martinez and Joshua Zirkzee starts upfront instead of Rasmus Hojlund.

Antony and Tyrell Malacia have both been named on the bench amid expectations they will leave the club on loan this month, while it is no surprise to see Marcus Rashford miss out again.

Speaking ahead of the match, Amorim explained his line up selection: “We have to rotate some players because with this kind of schedule. Don't forget we played an hour with one less player for 120 minutes [against Arsenal last weekend]. I needed to make some changes, but everyone is ready.

“The best thing is to win, the feeling is so good. We needed that a lot but we need to continue to win games and improve our performance. We need to control better the possession of the ball. In that way, you can defend better. We need to create chance and control the game with the goals.

United XI: Onana; Yoro, De Ligt, Maguire; Mazraoui, Ugarte, Mainoo, Dalot; Amad, Fernandes, Zirkzee. Subs: Bayindir, Martinez, Malacia, Casemiro, Collyer, Eriksen, Antony, Garnacho, Hojlund
