Bayern Munich interested in Bruno Fernandes transfer

Bruno Fernandes has been a rare bright spark for United this season - but this light could soon be snuffed out, as Bayern Munich are thought to be interested in a transfer move for the Portuguese superstar.

According to a report from The Independent, United could be open to selling their star player so they can meet the Profit and Sustainability Rule requirements. Nevertheless, losing Fernandes would be a massive blow - his attacking contributions to the team would be incredibly difficult to replicate.

However, Ten Hag declared on Tuesday that Fernandes is someone he is keen to keep around. He said: “In all the years, he was a tremendously important player for Manchester United, creating the most chances across the Premier League. So many assists, so many goals. It's clear he's a very important player for us."

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to become a free agent

United were linked with a move for Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in January - if their interest in the former Stoke City and PSG man persists, they will be able to snap him up on a free transfer in the summer.

Currently a Bayern Munich player, the Bavarian giants have announced on their official club website that they will let the 35-year-old go upon the expiration of his current deal. At the age of 35, Choupo-Moting is beyond his prime years - additionally, he has only scored two goals in 27 Bundesliga appearances this season. Nevertheless, he could be a useful, not to mention cheap, option for United ahead of next season.
