Antony’s future is up in the air at the moment, even though he has performed superbly since joining Real Betis on loan from Manchester United in January. He has since made 22 appearances for Betis, scoring eight goals and five assists.
The Brazilian will return to Old Trafford in the summer, and it is understood that the 25-year-old will be sold in the transfer window to generate funds for United to improve their squad.

Five teams set to battle for Antony
Antony is in demand, and not only from Real Betis, who may try to land him on another loan deal in the summer due to the fact that they likely won’t be able to afford the 25-year-old.
Reports in Spain have suggested that four more teams are also keeping an eye on the winger, who United are reportedly hoping to price between £34m and £42m. According to Spanish outlet Football Espana, there is increasing La Liga interest in him.
Atletico Madrid are one interested party who have been linked to Antony before, but the report now says that Villarreal have now entered the race to sign him. They, like Real Betis, are fighting for the Champions League, and will likely need the money from that if they are able to land the winger. Barcelona have previously been linked with a move for Antony, too.

How could United replace Antony?
The Red Devils haven’t used the Brazilian much this season, as he was clearly not in the long-term plans of manager Ruben Amorim. However, they will likely use the funds generated from any sale to bring in a winger.
United have been strongly linked to signing Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo, who is expected to cost around £38m, meaning that a sale of Antony could all but fund their move for Semenyo, assuming the Cherries are willing to sell him. A figure closer to £43m is expected to be more suitable for Semenyo.
The Ghana international has made 35 Premier League appearances this season for Bournemouth, scoring nine goals and providing five assists. Liverpool and Tottenham have been said to hold an interest in the winger, although, their interest isn’t expected to be as strong as the Cherries’.
