'All over the place' - Roy Keane slams Manchester United after Liverpool loss

Manchester United favourite Roy Keane has slammed the defending of his former club against Liverpool. The Red Devils were beaten 3-0 at home by Arne Slot’s men on Sunday afternoon and were outclassed by their opponents.
Erik ten Hag’s side have now lost two of their first three fixtures and the pressure is starting to mount on their head coach. They now head into the international break before an away trip to newly promoted Southampton.

Hide AdEx-United midfielder Keane, who covered the game as a pundit for Sky Sports, wasn’t impressed at all by their performance against Liverpool. He said: “Same old problems. Leopard’s and spot. They have looked very open, sometimes it is just one or two passes (to cut them open). Obviously there have been mistakes.
“Casemiro, for all his experience, that is not a first time pass (for Liverpool’s first). It is not worth the risk. Of course, when they lose it they are all over the place. A player can make a mistake but they are all over the place. They have done this for the last couple of games. Where’s your right-back? Where’s your left-back? You’re not in control.”
He added: “Liverpool are good enough to punish them. The quality from (Mo) Salah. The good players and good teams will punish you and rightly so because you can’t give the ball away that cheaply. It is happening a number of times. At this level it is brutal.”
Casemiro made costly mistakes in the first-half that were punished and led to Liverpool’s first two goals. United went into half-time with a mountain to climb and ended up taking off the Brazilian, bringing on youngster Toby Collyer in his place.

Hide AdStriker Joshua Zirkzee had a couple of chances after the interval but couldn’t convert. The visitors made it three through Mo Salah to build on Luis Diaz’s brace and could have had more in the end.
United have some big problems to solve over the coming weeks, especially in defence. It seems too easy for teams to create opportunities against them and they seriously need to tighten up at the back if they are to have a successful campaign.
They finished 8th last term under Ten Hag but he was handed a new deal earlier this summer after they won the FA Cup. However, time will tell how long the ownership will back him for if results and performances continue to be poor.
