Man Utd have been linked with a move to sign Ajax ace Brian Brobbey in the summer transfer window.

Ajax star Brian Brobbey has teased the suggestion he could join Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Erik ten Hag worked with the striker during his time at the Dutch club and even considered bringing him to Old Trafford back in the summer of 2022. Brobbey previously claimed Ten Hag called him in attempt to lure him to the Premier League, but he turned down the move because he wanted to make his loan move to Ajax permanent.

The 22-year-old has scored 22 goals in 43 games at Ajax this past season and interest is growing in him ahead of the summer transfer window. Ten Hag is expected to have less influence on the club's transfer policy if he remains at the club, which could complicate the likelihood of a reunion with Brobbey.

However, speaking to NOS Jeugdjournaal, Brobbey once again namechecked United when he was asked about his dream transfer destinations. “Arsenal, I think that is a very nice club. If you look at that stadium. A very nice club, but that also applies to Manchester United, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.”

His comments come just a month after he previously talked himself up as a possible United transfer target: “I’m about to blossom,” he told Men’s Health. “If I see myself and how I have played in the last few months, I think I am doing quite well. I still want to achieve many great things in my career, such as playing for a very big football club.

“Real Madrid is a beautiful club. Arsenal, Manchester United… How much am I worth? After the European Championships, €80m. Going to the European Championships is also a dream of mine. If I can score a goal, I promote myself even more and increase my value. If I succeed, I’m doing well. I have to score that goal. I want to pay Ajax back. Of course I left, but they brought me back. I want to make sure I have been worth it.”
