Manchester United have turned their fortunes around after a rocky start to life under Erik ten Hag in the Premier League.

The Red Devils have won their last four games after losing their opening two fixtures against Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford.

Ten Hag made several changes to his starting XI following the two defeats, including dropping captain Harry Maguire to the bench.

United’s backline has been solid since the decision, conceding just two goals in their last four games, while offensively they have also been a threat, scoring seven goals.

The new-found form has given Red Devils fans optimism going into their midweek Europa League group stage clash against Real Sociedad on Thursday, with several players putting in standout performances in recent games.

10 | Tyrell Malacia - 6.80

The summer signing has been fantastic for the club since replacing Luke Shaw in the starting XI in United’s 2-1 win over Liverpool, playing every game since. He is averaging 2.2 tackles per game and 1.5 clearances per game.

9 | Lisandro Martinez - 6.88

Another new addition to United this season, the centre-back has been improved significantly in the last four games, making on average 4.7 clearances per game, while having a 100% successful dribble rate so far.

8 | Casemiro - 6.90

The Brazilian is yet to start a game for United since his arrival from Real Madrid, but has been a key player from the bench for Ten Hag.

7 | Jadon Sancho - 6.90

Didn’t have the best game against Arsenal on Sunday but overall has been a solid performer for United this season, scoring twice and having a pass accuracy of 83%.

The final member of United’s backline from their past four games, Diogo Dalot has provided one assist this campaign, while making 2.3 tackles per game and 2.5 clearances per game.

4 | Bruno Fernandes - 7.18

Has worn the armband in Maguire’s absence and helped United to fifth-place in the table with his assist on Sunday and goal against Southampton. He is averaging 1.8 shots per game, while creating three big chances so far.

3 | Marcus Rashford - 7.18

The Englishman is starting to show glimpses of the Marcus Rashford of old, scoring three goals and providing two assists after six games. He continues to find himself in good space on attacking transitions and is averaging 2.5 shots per game.

The Frenchman has only played 45 minutes for United this season due to picking up an achilles injury after the win over Liverpool. In that short period, he provided the assist for Rashford’s goal, while completing 75% of successful dribbles.
