The Red Devils are going well now under their new boss after a tricky start.

Arsenal proved to be tough opponents but United stood firm and took the lead in the first-half when recent addition Antony slotted the ball cooly past Aaron Ramsdale with his left foot to make it a dream start to life in England for him.

The Gunners grew into the game more in the second-half and levelled through the lively Bukayo Saka. However, they couldn’t capitalise on that.

It looked like the game had swung into the favour of Mikel Arteta’s side but a quick-fire brace from Rashford meant his team have picked up another impressive result.

Here’s how we rated the players...

David de Gea - 6

Arsenal only had three shots on target and he didn’t really have much to do.

Diogo Dalot - 7

He has started this campaign well and put in another decent performance against tricky opponents.

Raphael Varane- 6

The veteran did his job and kept Gabriel Jesus at bay, despite the Brazil international looking dangerous at times.

Lisandro Martinez - 7

After a difficult first couple of matches, he is starting to find his feet with United.

Another impressive showing by the summer recruit and he got up and down the left flank.

His work often goes unnoticed in the middle of the park but he did well to break up play and compete against the Gunners’ midfielders.

Christian Eriksen - 9

The Denmark international put in a cool performance and showed his quality throughout the match. He is our man of the match.

Antony - 8

Dream debut for him at Old Trafford and his confidence will be through the roof now after his goal.

Struggled to make much of an impact at times but provided a great assist for Rashford’s second.

Jadon Sancho - 6

He didn’t quite live up to the level of performance from his past few games. The winger was taken off in the second-half.

Marcus Rashford - 8

The England international took both goals well and cause serious problems for Arsenal.

Harry Maguire - 6

Did what was needed when he came on for Martinez.

Fred - 6

Added fresh legs in the heart of midfield and broke up play a couple of times.

Casemiro - 6

Like Fred, the ex-Real Madrid ace didn’t do too much but was steady after coming on.

Cristiano Ronaldo - 7

He showed his quality with a couple of nice touches and was disappointed not to score when he felt Fernandes should have passed to him at the death.
