Manchester City will celebrate another fine campaign with an open-top bus parade after completing the treble.

Pep Guardiola’s men defeated Inter Milan in the Champions League final in Istanbul on Saturday evening thanks to Rodrigo’s second-half strike. City can now celebrate becoming only the second English team in history to win the famous treble after winning the Premier League and FA Cup this season.

City trailed in the Premier League title race for much of the season before rallying in the second half of the campaign.

Meanwhile, Guardiola’s men got the better of city rivals United in the FA Cup final last weekend, setting up a historic treble win. But how will City be celebrating their successes this season?

City will hold an open-bus top parade after winning the Champions League final on Saturday. The following club statement has been made on the plans.

“Testament to the outstanding work of all those working in the Club’s backroom staff, Guardiola travelled to Istanbul with a fully fit complement to choose from as City’s season concluded with a memorable triumph over the Italian Cup holders. The squad will travel back to Manchester on Sunday afternoon, flying on a unique Club-liveried Etihad Airways Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

“They will then celebrate the historic achievement with an open-top bus parade through Manchester City Centre on Monday 12 June. Guardiola, his players and his backroom staff will depart from Tonman Street, Deansgate, at approximately 6:30pm and travel to St Mary’s Gate. The parade will then travel through Cross Street and King Street, before finishing on Princess Street where a live stage show will take place.”
