As we approach July, the summer transfer window is well under way and is nearing its fourth week since opening once again.
A number of Premier League clubs are deep into their transfer business and have looked to act fast in order to bolster their squad ahead of next season, while others are taking their time and are perhaps adopting the ‘quality over quantity’ approach.
Manchester City have so far secured one summer signing, while they look close to bringing in Kalvin Phillips from Leeds United and Marc Cucurella from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Meanwhile, Manchester United seem to be struggling to bring in their much-needed additions, with Erik ten Hag yet to make his first signing in what should be a very busy summer for the Dutchman’s new club.
