Man City receive boost after Premier League title rivals suffer double injury blow

Manchester City have been given a major boost after one of their title rivals suffered a double injury blow at the weekend.

Manchester City's title chances were given a significant boost after Liverpool stars Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch both left Wembley with injuries following the Reds' 1-0 League Cup final victory over Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

Gravenberch was stretchered off in the first half of the encounter, while Endo played on through an ankle injury for the duration of the 120 minutes. Currently, it is unclear how long the pair will be out of action for - but there is a chance that they could miss out on Liverpool's game against City on March 10.

Speaking in a press conference after the game, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said: "I have no clue who can play on Wednesday because we had players on the pitch until the end of the game who had problems," said the Liverpool boss. "We asked Harvey [Elliott] to stay, we asked Lucho [Luis Diaz] to stay up front, don't go back anymore. So, I have no idea who can play on Wednesday but for tonight it is a night I will never forget."

Which other Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City players are injured at the moment?

As the season reaches its endgame, three clubs stand out from the rest of the pack as far as the title scene is concerned - City, Liverpool and Arsenal. None of them have clean injury records, though.

City are currently without Josko Gvardiol, who is out with an ankle problem - thankfully, this is the only injury worry that the Sky Blues need to concern themselves with. Arsenal are without Jurrien Timber, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Thomas Partey and Oleksandr Zinchenko - Liverpool, meanwhile, have an eye-watering 12 players out with injuries.

Liverpool's full list of absentees, besides Endo and Gravenberch, is as follows: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Diogo Jota, Alisson, Curtis Jones, Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah, Thiago, Dominik Szoboszlai and Stefan Bajcetic.
