Pep Guardiola and Gary O’Neil gave squad updates in Friday’s press conferences.

“They are getting pretty close now and we'll see how best we can use them between now and the end of the season and how many minutes we can get into them,” O’Neil told reporters in Friday’s press conference.

“All of them could play a part this weekend, they're all fit and available. They've all come through a good week's training. There are no real concerns on my part, just the discussions with the fitness team on how many minutes and when in the game to suit them best.”

O’Neil - who will serve a one-match touchline ban this weekend - also confirmed Noha Lemina has returned to training but ‘has a little bit more to do’ before he can play a part in the first team again.

Tommy Doyle will definitely miss the match against his parent club. It was confirmed on Friday that the midfielder has signed permanently for Wolves but as the deal doesn’t go through until 1 July, he is still technically a loan player and cannot play this weekend. Craig Dawson and Leon Chiwone are also out through injury.

As for City, the champions have a clean bill of health coming into Saturday’s game. Ederson was a major doubt for the game against Wolves after being forced off last week in the win over Nottingham Forest with a shoulder injury, but Pep Guardiola said in Friday’s press conference that the Brazilian has returned to training and might be fit to start.

Ruben Dias and Phil Foden have also been back in training this week after missing the Forest game through illness, while Guardiola said Erling Haaland is fit to start for the first time since 17th April.
