City face a big contest with PSG in Paris on Wednesday night as they seek to secure a place in the next round of the Champions League. City are 22nd in the Champions League table with their Ligue 1 rivals sitting 25th and facing elimination from the competition. Asked about his contract situation ahead of the game, De Bruyne remain calm in his response.
“I've not spoken to them for the moment. I wanted to get better, I'm doing better, so I'm happy. We'll see, something will happen," he said. "I feel better, obviously. It was an annoying injury that I had but I feel like I'm getting better and better, getting my fitness back and the way that I run."
City manager Pep Guardiola was recently asked if the player would sign a new deal. He replied: "Of course it can happen. Kevin is in improved physical condition. He knows that. He says he feels better. He has been struggling a lot for five years and made an effort this season, playing when he was not at his top. There is no player at that age, even younger, that can not play without niggles. But some problems more difficult to handle than the other ones. Kevin has struggled a lot and made incredible work ethic. I saw him working very well to come back and being the best. And of course, having that special quality that is unique in the world."
Rashford transfer twist
Kyle Walker’s impending move to AC Milan has saw the Italian club drop out of the race to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford. Post-Brexit rules mean the Serie A club can only sign a limited number of English players. Walker is set to fill that quota as Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona remain interested in Rashford but whether they are able to sign him remains in doubt.

Now in a fresh twist, Rashford has reportedly not ruled out remaining at United beyond this month. The academy product came out in December saying he was seeking a new challenge but as things stand a loan move out of Old Trafford is not close.
According to the Daily Star, Rashford has been training for extra hours in the event he is called back into the squad and would not object to player under Ruben Amorim. Providing an update on the player, Amorim said in the wake of the 3-1 defeat to Brighton: "No. It is his choice. I don’t want to focus this bad moment because in this games we lost, Rashford is not here. I don't want to put this moment on Rashford. Rashford is out of this moment because he is not playing. No matter what, I am not going to put a player I don’t believe is the best for the team."
