Man City 2022/23 player ratings gallery: One 10/10 awarded as two score 9/10 - but 4/10 given out

We’ve given every Manchester City player a rating out of 10 for their performances across the season.

Manchester City enjoyed arguably the greatest campaign in the history of English football, as Pep Guardiola’s men won the treble in style.

That didn’t always look likely and the team’s dip in form around the turn of the year alarmed fans and the manager, but from February onwards, City were superb as they easily swept aside opponents in the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.

Fans will never forget those finals at Wembley and the Ataturk Olympic Stadium, but there were memorable moments across the season, including the statement wins against Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig in Europe, while the victory over Arsenal at home was equally as emphatic. There was also that Manchester derby where City netted six against Erik ten Hag’s men, something they did four times across the incredible campaign.

But which first-team stars played the biggest role in City’s record-breaking season? We’ve given every single player a score out of 10 based on their performances over the campaign.

Only players who made a minimum of five appearances have been included, meaning Josh Wilson-Esbrand, Maximo Perrone and Shea Charles have not been given a score, nor has Scott Carson, who didn’t play a single minute in 2022/23.

The ratings are based on displays across the entire term and are reflective of how the player performed over a season that began in July with the Community Shield and ended in June with the FA Cup and Champions League finals.

With that in mind, here’s how we rated the players…
