Jack Grealish has said he is ‘loving playing’ for Manchester City at present after an impressive run of form for the Premier League champions.
The England international came in for a lot of criticism after a difficult start to the campaign, with a poor showing against Borussia Dortmund resulting in his place in the national side coming into question.

But Grealish has responded excellently since then and scored in the 3-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers immediately after the Dortmund game, while he has shone in the victories against Manchester United and Copenhagen since returning from the international break.
Speaking after the latter, a game Grealish was awarded Player of the Match in, City’s No.10 claimed he’s got his confidence back and promised he will soon start contributing more goals and assists.
“Football is about enjoying it and I am certainly doing that at the moment. I am loving playing with the lads at the moment and I feel like I have got my confidence back. That is the main thing for me,” said the former Aston Villa captain.

“Goals and assists will come. Any player wants to score and get assists, but the main thing is to keep playing and enjoying it. That is what I am doing at the moment.

“In football, everyone wants to score, especially if you are an attacking player,” he added. “But in my last few games I feel like I have played well even without scoring or assisting. I have just got to keep doing that and I am sure the manager will be happy with me.
“I loved it tonight, playing at the Etihad on Champions League nights, there isn’t much better. It was a perfect night with a 5-0 win and getting Player of the Match.”
Haaland ‘the best’
City took all three points from the encounter against Copenhagen, with Erling Haaland netting the opening two in the first half, before Riyad Mahrez and Julian Alvarez added to Davit Khocholava’s own-goal.

Haaland’s brace means he’s scored 19 goals from 12 games since joining City, while he’s now netted more Champions League goals than Luis Suarez and Rivaldo.

Asked about the Norwegian, Grealish claimed Haaland is probably the best player he’s ever shared a dressing room with, a big claim coming from someone who has played alongside Kevin De Bruyne and Harry Kane.
“I was just laughing because he is just unstoppable,” said the 27-year-old. “He has this instinct where he is always at the right place at the right time and that is something you can’t teach, you are just born with it.
“His goalscoring record is absolutely ridiculous and he is probably the best I have ever played with. It is a pleasure to play with him and hopefully it continues.
“I get on really well with him and he is such a brilliant guy, down to earth, has good banter and is an unbelievable footballer as well. I like being around him. Everyone at the training ground loves him, all the staff and it is a pleasure to play with him.”
