Ederson injury: Mixed news on Man City keeper’s return
There are mixed reports on the availability of Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson ahead of this weekend.
The 30-year-old was replaced at half-time with a shoulder injury during Sunday’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest and was seen wearing a sling as he left the City Ground. Pep Guardiola also said the injury ‘doesn’t look good’, leading to concerns about Ederson’s availability for the final weeks of the season.

“Regarding Ederson's physical issue: the tests do not show an injury and the goalkeeper will return to training in the next few days,” wrote the journalist.
But the Manchester Evening News claim the prognosis is not quite so positive and that Ederson is unlikely to return to face Wolves on Saturday, but could be back the following week against Fulham.
“Further checks on Ederson's shoulder have revealed that the injury isn't as significant as it first looked, however, and it is hoped he will be fit enough to return before the end of the season, with City still to play four Premier League games and the FA Cup final,” the outlet reported, while adding Stefan Ortega is likely to play this weekend.
