August Bank Holiday Weekend is set to be pretty lively at one Manchester park. Several big names from music are performing at Wythenshawe Park, with thousands of fans set to descend on that corner of the city.

New Order will take over the park on August 24, with special guests Johnny Marr and Róisín Murphy. This will be New Order’s first Manchester show since playing at Heaton Park in 2021.

The following day, August 25, will see several acts play in the park, with Stockport’s finest Blossoms headlining. Also on the bill will be Inhaler, Shed Seven, The K’s, Seb Lowe, and TTRRUUCES.

Tickets for both remain on sale for both gigs and can be purchased through Live Nation. A weekend ticket is also available for £89.60 that will get you in for both days of the bumper Bank Holiday weekend.

With thousands of fans heading to the park across two days, the public transport routes of Manchester will be very useful. Getting to and from the park will be busy, but Transport for Greater Manchester recommends using public transport to do so.

Getting the Metrolink to Wythenshawe Park

The easiest way of getting to the park is most likely via the Metrolink. Wythenshawe Park has its own stop on the Navy Line, and this is located on the west side of the park. Moor Road and Martinscroft stops are also options for stops where you can get off and walk to the park, and these are also on the Navy Line.

The Bee Network has reminded fans that Moor Road is the best stop for the entrance to the gigs. Trams to the park will run from the city centre event 7.5 minutes.
