On Monday morning, there were warnings for ice on the roads but temperatures are slowly set to increase into the afternoon up to 7-8C, with a largely cloudy, breezy day.

TFGM warned travellers to allow extra time for journeys with ice still affecting roads and public transport. Stagecoach tweeted of some disruption to bus services 221, 237, 336, and 337 on Monday morning and a small number of schools confirmed they would stay closed on Monday due to icy conditions.

Tuesday, however, will be a much milder day, climbing up to 10C in Manchester but it will be showery and breezy throughout the day. The showers are set to continue into Wednesday which will be relatively mild during the day, but heading down to 0C again into the night, meaning more icy conditions are likely later in the week.
