Remembrance Sunday 2022: Manchester road closures in full on 13 November

If you’re travelling through Manchester city centre on Remembrance Sunday, here’s what you need to know.

There will be some disruption to public transport plus road closures this weekend as Manchester marks Remembrance Sunday in the city centre.

Commemorations take place every year on the nearest Sunday to 11 November, or Armistice Day, the day World War 1 ended. Representatives of all branches of the armed forces and veterans will be in attendance, alongside local dignitaries and members of the public, to remember all the service men and women who have died in the line of duty.

The events will start at John Dalton Street and move towards the war memorial at St. Peter’s Square, therefore there will be some disruption to public transport and road closures around the city centre on Sunday 13 November.

Here are the road closures in full with timings.
