PC James Holt: Greater Manchester police officer charged with sexual assault

Greater Manchester police say the officer has been placed on restricted duties.

A Greater Manchester police officer has been charged with sexual assault.

PC James Holt, 32, who is based on the City of Manchester district, has been released on bail until a hearing, expected to be heard at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 3 March.

Holt was arrested after a complaint was made to Greater Manchester Police’s Professional Standards Branch.

A brief force statement said: “The officer has been placed on restricted duties. Misconduct proceedings will recommence upon conclusion of criminal proceedings.”
