A cocktail venue in Manchester city centre has just been selected as one of the world’s top 100 bars.

Schofield’s, near Spinningfields and Deansgate, has been placed number 59 on the extended list of The World’s 50 Best Bars, sponsored by Perrier. Owned by the Schofield brothers Joe and Daniel, the bar opened in 2021 and has become a cosy, polished drinking venue for anyone looking for a classic cocktail or other tipple between Wednesday and Sunday every week.

The duo have also recently launched their new bar Sterling at the Stock Exchange Hotel and are now the proud owners of three city centre venues, including Atomeca in Deansgate.

Joe Schofield said: “Myself and Daniel have always loved bars around the world that have a sense of history and have a sense of serving these wonderful classic cocktails.

“We did whatever we could basically to make our dream come alive.”

Daniel Schofield said: “It makes us proud. It makes us proud for our family as well - our mum and dad I imagine are very proud of us.

“We’re almost a bar that champions classic cocktails, we’ve also got some of our really loyal regulars that come in a couple of times a week for a lager, a coffee, a glass of wine. It’s a really beautiful space that they feel very proud of and it makes us feel even more proud.”
