Man left with broken jaw for having no cigarettes in Manchester city centre attack

The victim was punched multiple times in an unprovoked assault over a cigarette.

Polcie have issued an evo-fit image of a man they want to speak to following a vicious assault in Manchester city centre.

A 34-year-old man was walking in the Deansgate Interchange and Chester Road roundabout area when he was approached by two men,

They asked him for a cigarette but attacked him when he said he didn’t have any. He was punched in the head and face several times and left with a broken jaw which needed hospital treatment.
