Man charged with racially aggravated assault as man found seriously injured in Packer Street, Rochdale

A man has been charged with racially aggravated assault in connection with a serious incident in Rochdale.

Police were called after an unconscious man was found on Packer Street at 3.15am on Sunday.

Police added enquiries later established that the man had been assaulted and fallen to the floor, and he remains in hospital in a critical condition.

Adam Farrell, 35, of no fixed address has been remanded into custody to appear before Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today (Monday 28 February).
