Man charged over Manchester city centre stabbing at weekend

A 20-year-old man has been charged with GBH following an incident in Manchester city centre at the weekend.

Police attended reports of an assault near the junction of King Street and Ridgefield Street at 4.30am on Sunday, where a 45-year-old man was found with a stab wound.

He was taken to hospital but has since been discharged.

Ethan Chisnall, 20, of Magnolia Close, Partington, has been charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of offensive weapons.

He has been remanded into custody to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 8 March.
